Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in food service management preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service or hospitality industry, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, with certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of employees.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, staff, and management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
  • ServSafe® Certification.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ordering of food and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes and portion control standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff in executing efficient and timely service, resolving customer complaints, and addressing any issues that arise during service.
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas, kitchen, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and enforce proper food handling procedures and safety protocols among food service staff, including handwashing, glove usage, and temperature control.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee morale.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory, staffing, and other operational activities.
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and customer service excellence, leading by example and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
