About The Position

The Eddy Food Truck is hiring a Part-Time Cook/Cashier to join our BBQ‑inspired food truck team! This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys both preparing great food and delivering friendly, personalized service. You’ll help create an authentic and memorable experience for every guest—whether you’re on the grill or at the window. As a Cook/Cashier, you’ll be an essential part of the Truck Eddy team, supporting both kitchen operations and front‑of‑house service. From preparing smoked meats and sides to taking orders and welcoming guests, this role blends culinary skill with customer connection in a fast‑paced, fun environment.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability with work days and hours
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and basic food service equipment
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • A positive, people‑focused attitude and enjoyment of fast‑paced work
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15-40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous kitchen, food truck, or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and garnish menu items following recipes and safe food‑handling practices
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately while providing friendly, individualized service
  • Use guest names and maintain a customer‑comes‑first attitude
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, service area, and food truck
  • Communicate effectively with teammates to support smooth operations
  • Contribute positively to the team by recognizing issues and helping resolve them quickly
