The Food Supervisor position is responsible for supervising employees to ensure security, safety, food specifications, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP, and FDA regulations are followed. This role also manages labor and food cost controls according to company specifications. The supervisor will maintain quality production standards for all accounts, adhere to Company policies and procedures, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for airline customer specifications. They will work with management to improve unit performance, prepare required management reports (e.g., attendance, HACCP, labor), and ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Key responsibilities include ensuring product coding, conducting inventory, completing requisitions for the storeroom, and maintaining daily temperature logs. The supervisor will also collaborate with maintenance staff for preventive maintenance and timely reporting of repair issues. Employee management duties involve performance evaluation, coaching, counseling, corrective actions, workflow balancing, determining staffing needs, and ensuring compliance with Wage & Hour policy, including breaks. Additionally, the supervisor trains and monitors employees for productivity and cost efficiency, manages daily manpower planning and schedules, and is responsible for employee retention and reducing turnover. They will review employee cost centers, job titles, and pay rates (especially for union-represented employees) and ensure all company-required training, including ServSafe, is completed.
