About The Position

Black Stone Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Food
Specialist Supervisor to support food service operations at the USCG Training
Center (TRACEN) in Yorktown, Virginia. This role is responsible for ensuring
compliance with sanitation standards, supporting food production operations, and
assisting the Program Manager with staff supervision and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, a solid understanding of
food safety regulations, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced
environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in food production, food service supervision, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using production management or scheduling systems, including ADP Workforce (or similar platforms).

Nice To Haves

• Current Virginia managerial food safety or quality assurance certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce a comprehensive sanitation program in accordance with USCG TRACEN contractual guidelines to ensure continuous food safety and inspection readiness.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available to support daily operations.
• Assist in managing food production schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of operational goals.
• Support the Program Manager in training, mentoring, and supervising food service staff on safety standards and food‑handling best practices.
• Monitor production quality and adherence to health and safety regulations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve food production processes and operational workflows.
• Participate in inventory tracking and ordering of supplies as required.
• Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
