About The Position

Providence Hall is a charter school located in Herriman UT. Central to the school's mission is teaching students to think critically, communicate effectively, and act responsibly. Providence Hall is accepting applications for part-time food services staff to join our team at our Elementary School campus. Schedule: Up to 16 hours/week during the school year on days when students are present As early as 7am on scheduled school days As late as 2pm on scheduled school days Department, building, and LEA professional development, trainings and meetings

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Possess an even temper and good work ethic.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask easily.
Positive interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain calm in high-stress situations.
Willing to effectively problem-solving as needed.
Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and its collaboration tools.
Capacity to perform all the responsibilities listed in this posting.
Work in a loud, noisy environment around many youth.
Obtain a Food Handler's permit within 2 weeks of starting work.
Must pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history, and professional references as a condition of employment.
Lift up to 50 lbs. , traverse school facility, and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency.

Responsibilities

Monitor students during breakfast and/or lunch.
Use the school's positive behavior intervention system to reward students.
Wipe and clean tables.
Sweep under tables.
Assist students during meal times with items needing to be opened.
Assist with breaking down the cafeteria tables.
Collaborate with colleagues to support the food services department and school in general.
Maintain effective communication channels to ensure a collaborative school community.
Actively participate in assigned meetings, professional developments, and other trainings.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
