About The Position

Food Services Cooks are responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality food items to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position requires keen attention to detail, strong culinary skills, and a commitment to upholding food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of food service experience in a similar role.
  • ServSafe Certification (preferred).
  • Strong culinary skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Basic understanding of food safety principles and sanitation procedures.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and guests.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Tolerance for high temperatures in the kitchen environment.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sunlight with no shade, cold, rain, etc.
  • Varying work hours extending up to twelve (12) hour workdays under some circumstances.
  • Promote and practice safe work practices at all times.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
  • Adhere to State of Georgia Health Code requirements at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented attractively to meet our guests' expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items and regular cleaning of cooking equipment.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure the safety of our guests and team members.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menu items and recipes, keeping our offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special dietary requests and preferences and addressing guest concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
