Organizational Scope: Reporting to the Director of Food Services and to the Building Principal, works directly under the Cafeteria Manager and collaboratively with lunchroom staff.

Requirements

• Must have training and/or experience in food preparation and service.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other staff.
• Must be able to operate cash register and computerized “power lunch” program.
• Must be able to read instructions, have mathematical ability to add and subtract, work with money.
• Ability to lift maximum of 40 pounds.
• Frequent lifting, standing, significant walking; repetitive tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Servsafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform food preparation, service and clean up tasks; snack bar, salad bar, food preparation, baking, cooking
• Operate “Power Lunch” as required.
• Perform set-up activities; assemble recipe/menu items, wash and cut fruits and vegetables, slice breads and meats, etc.
• Perform servicing activities; fill line-serving units, measure and monitor quantities.
• Cook; bake breads and desserts, steam vegetables, bake meats, etc
• Operate equipment
• Assist in any food service area
