About The Position

Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a Food Service Attendant II to join our team! Food Service Attendant II is instrumental in the preparation and distribution of quality meals for residents, patients, and customers. They serve as subject matter experts in their specified job duty area by demonstrating proficiency in one or more of the following areas to provide effective high-quality training to new employees; cashiering, catering, cold prep, dish room, room service starter or expeditor, cook or call center. This person is also essential to providing courier services of food items to various locations.
HOURS: Supplemental or .4 FTE, 32 hours every pay period. Day only shift.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older per state statute.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of food preparation standards and practices on safe and sanitary food handling within the designated training/trial period.
• Minimum of 1-year of food service experience preferably in hospital or long-term care setting.
• Exhibits skills and collaboration necessary to participate in organizational mentorship and onboarding programs.
• Possesses reading, verbal, and written communication skills that enable the individual to comprehend and perform the job duties error free and in allotted time.
• Dependable and adjusts work hours to meet the demands of the department.
• Maintains a pleasant service-orientated attitude towards patients, residents, community, and employees.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handler training is beneficial.
• Valid Driver's license is preferred.
