About The Position

Meritus Health is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Services Assistant
at our Laurel Hall location to join our Nutrition Services team. In this role,
you will support the preparation, packaging, delivery, and service of nutritious
meals for students, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and
sanitation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in food preparation and handling required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no moving violations in the past 3 years preferred). Annual certified copy of driving record required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, deliver, and serve meals while following safe food handling guidelines and student dietary restrictions.
• Complete and maintain required temperature logs in accordance with Maryland Department of Health regulations.
• Safely operate a Meritus-owned delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws.
• Sanitize food service equipment, delivery vehicles, and containers to ensure a safe environment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and follow the Meritus Code of Conduct in all interactions.
