Through mentorship, education, and peer support, our residency program helps you anticipate and navigate real-world challenges while building a strong clinical foundation. A Proven, Nationally Recognized Program Meritus proudly utilizes the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™, a nationally recognized model implemented in over 550 hospitals and health systems across the country. This evidence-based program has been adopted as the state model in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Hawaii, and is proven to improve nurse confidence, competence, and retention. About Our Facility: Brook Lane is a 64-bed facility in Hagerstown, MD and home to the second largest psychiatric hospital in Maryland, serving children, adolescents, and adults. We provide a residential program for children and adolescents, and partial hospitalization services for both adults and children. The InSTEP program provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment options for individuals with substance use treatment needs.
