Under supervision and in accordance with established procedures and standards, performs a variety of tasks associated with Food & Nutrition services to patients, staff and cafeteria patrons. Usually assigned to a specific service area but is required to assist in various capacities due to workload and staffing variations. Handles food in accordance with department and regulatory agency standards and procedures. REQUIRED: Basic reading and writing skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions. Up to one month of on-the-job training and learning in order to learn duties associated with the position. Previous food service experience in an institutional setting prefered.
