Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous food service experience, especially in healthcare, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food service experience, especially in healthcare, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and deliver patient meal trays according to prescribed diets.
  • Prepare and portion food items following standardized recipes and safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Stock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
  • Assist in dishwashing and waste disposal processes.
  • Follow infection control procedures and food safety regulations.
  • Interact courteously with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Document food temperatures and cleaning logs as required.
  • Support special dietary needs and requests under supervision of dietary staff.
