The Food Service Worker Patient Server position involves preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals, managing stock supplies, serving guests, performing sanitation duties, handling dish room tasks, processing payments, and setting up meals for various dining outlets. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality food preparation and service, contributing to the safety, comfort, and overall satisfaction of customers. The individual in this role should be able to perform all functions independently, be cross-trained in food service responsibilities, and support the training of others.

Requirements

  • High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
  • Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years of Food & Nutrition experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
  • Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
  • Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
  • Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
  • Complete sanitation duties.
  • Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
  • Collect payments for guest trays.
  • Handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
  • Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
  • Perform all functions independently and be cross trained in food service responsibilities.
  • Support the training of others.
