About The Position
Under the leadership of the department director and their assigned supervisor, the food service worker I has a variety of duties. Duties may include but are not limited to: dishwashing, pot washing, environmental cleaning, sanitation and waste disposal, bussing of tables, delivery and retrieval of patient trays and/or carts, delivery of food and non-food supplies, stocking of food and non-food supplies, and basic food/beverage production.
Requirements
- Fluency, the ability to communicate orally, and the ability to read and write in English is required.
- Passing a basic reading and math test is required.
- Working quickly and accurately is required.
- Basic food/beverage production skills are required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience in related field required.
- California Food Handler’s card at the time of hire or within three (3) months of employment.
