Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Food Service Supervisor who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Food Service Supervisor will: Supervise all aspects of food production including menu planning, food preparation and quality to ensure client satisfaction and retention Support management in maintaining operations within the various segments of the department and their various responsibilities (Production/Patient Services/Retail) Provide direct supervision of staff performance to ensure accurate and timely service and client satisfaction and ensures products are produced on schedule and within appropriate food safety guidelines Supervisor is responsible for preparing food products/trays for patients, cafeteria, and catering as needed Support managers on changes of processes within the department and implementation of performance improvement strategies – assists in the training of new and existing team members and communication within the team Support cash handling and department supervision when assigned Be responsible for inventory control to reduce cost and waste – assures security of department Complete/verify all HACCP documentation of time and temperature. Maintains sanitation and safety standards within the operation Works collaboratively with peers, visitors, patients, management team, and other hospital staff
