About The Position

The FANS Storeroom Clerk in a hospital environment is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and storing all food, beverage, and supply deliveries to ensure compliance with hospital standards, food safety regulations, and patient dietary needs. This role supports the dietary team by maintaining proper inventory control and ensuring timely availability of quality products for patient meals and cafeteria service

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of proper food preparation, handling and storage required.
  • Considerable working knowledge of food preparation and Serv Safe practices.
  • Highly proficient in the use of all kitchen equipment.
  • Servsafe and/or food handler safety card required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
  • Ability to work and cooperate with members of hospital staff.

Nice To Haves
