About The Position

Do you have food service experience in a cafeteria or educational setting? Are you looking for a Part Time position with flexible hours? If you answered YES, then consider joining our team as a Food Services Specialist. Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services (DPACS) is seeking to hire a part time Food Services Specialist to support our cafeteria located on our West Chester campus. In this role you will work in a school cafeteria setting serving and preparing meals for children receiving Behavioral health services in a school and residential setting. Every day as a Food Service Specialist you will: Prepare food based on nutritional requirements and guidelines Serve food to students and staff in the serving line and prepare take out meals as needed Wash dishes and clean up of tables and floors in the cafeteria as needed Record documentation related to special diets and intake as indicated Record and document temperatures You will be offered: Hourly Compensation: $19.50 10am-6p, 3-4 days per week, every other weekend availability required Ability to make a difference beyond simply providing nutrition ASCEND - Career Accelerator Program Must be available for orientation: 1 week commitment 9am-5p Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. #Sponsored

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and Certification by County Board of Health required.
  • 1 year experience in food preparation and must be able to lift at least 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food based on nutritional requirements and guidelines
  • Serve food to students and staff in the serving line and prepare take out meals as needed
  • Wash dishes and clean up of tables and floors in the cafeteria as needed
  • Record documentation related to special diets and intake as indicated
  • Record and document temperatures
