About The Position

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for our dining operations at Simpson House, an upscale continuing care retirement located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania . This Food Service Manager will oversee front of house dining operations serving approximately 90 assisted living and skilled care residents. Will assist and fill in for General Managers and Operations Manager in their absence. Typical shift will be 10:00am - 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage. What You'll Do have oversight of daily front of house operations for dining rooms, pantries and bistro; oversee special events; deliver high quality food service; manage a staff of approximately 50 union frontline employees; develop and maintain client and customer relationships; create a positive environment; and ensure Sodexo Standards are met. What You Bring excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and the dining operation to make every day a better day for our clients and residents ; two or more years food service management experience ideally in a healthcare environment; prior experience working with a union staff; the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and proficiency in computer skills and report management.
