About The Position
Join our team as a Food Service Host! As a Food Service Host, you'll be the friendly face that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your role is all about creating a warm, welcoming environment, greeting guests, assisting with seating, and ensuring service runs smoothly. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week across five days, with 8-hour shifts scheduled from 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. or 11:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m. You'll work alternating weekends and share holiday coverage, with time off for holidays granted on a first-come, first-served basis. There's no floating, travel, or on-call requirement, just a consistent schedule and the chance to make every guest feel valued!
Requirements
- Work permit required if under 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
- Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
- Communicates customer complaints and concerns effectively with other health care team members.
- Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
- Serves patient meal tray using the designated department script, to include proper patient identification.
- Distributes and collects menus from patients; obtains selected menus from patients according to departmental procedures.
- Displays customer service skills when responding to meal service requests, resulting in a satisfied customer.
- Serves meals within established timeframes, adhering to departmental standards for appearance, food quality, and temperature control.
