About The Position

Location: Oliver Middle School Hours Per Day: 4.50 (9:15 - 1:45) Work Year: 10 Months -- Off during school breaks Minimum Pay Rate: $16.00 Per Hour Classification: Labor EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience in the food service field desirable, but not essential. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: To assist in the preparation and serving of food, or in the cleaning of kitchen equipment as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
• Hold a valid Servsafe Certificate or willing to complete the training.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 35 to 50 pounds.
• Hold a valid Servsafe Certificate or willing to complete the training.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• The ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues.
• The ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
• Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students, staff and families.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in the food service field desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food items.
• Sets up serving lines with condiments, hot and cold foods, and table services.
• Assist in food handling, including proper storage of food.
• Serves as cashier and/ or server on food service line.
• Assists in the washing and sanitizing of pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Food Services or such persons as designated by the Director.
