About The Position

As the Food Service Dining Orderly, you must be able to perform a variety of duties to facilitate food service and housekeeping service. The general responsibilities of the Dining Room Orderly are as follows, to include but not limited to: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Employees will be required to work in the dish room/ pot area. This includes washing, rinsing, and sanitizing all pots, pans, dishes, glassware, bakeware, utensils, and cutting boards. Will be required to sweep, mop, and sanitize all floors and all DFAC associated work- spaces. Area includes kitchen, storerooms, and public restrooms. Remove all DFAC generated garbage. Keep all FOH equipment cleaned and sanitized. Must keep all dining room tables and chairs clean. Escort Local Nationals who work in support of DFAC operations. Stocking: May be required to assist in receiving and putting away deliveries. Ensure all consumables are constantly stocked in the DFAC. Must keep all beverage, dessert and soup stations fully stocked. Must keep all Beverage coolers stocked and rotated. Keep all shelves stocked and rotated. Inform Site Lead of any issues promptly regarding equipment, stock, and supplies.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of the job.
  • An acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience.
  • Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with assignment.
  • Must perform proper bending, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying extreme temperature environments from very hot in the summer to very cold in the winter. Weather varies greatly from site to site. Working outside may be required at time.
