About The Position
The food service worker performs a variety of tasks in preparing, transporting, and serving food to patients, staff, and visitors. Follows established recipes to prepare menu items. Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner. Follows guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control. Adheres to food safety standards at all times and assists with cleaning. Also fills in as dietary aide and baker as needed.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous experiences in food service desirable
- Will need to do a Servsafe Food Handler Online Course and Assessment if not done so previously or if certificate has expired. This would be arranged and paid for by the hospital.
