About The Position

Purpose:

To provide skill-specific hands-on training that prepares individuals for a career in food service and catering, support of trainees, and classroom management with a customer-first attitude. This position will focus on providing skill training to individuals currently or formerly experiencing addiction recovery.

Requirements

• Food service and/or catering experience is a must
• The ideal candidate will possess the ability to connect and engage with individuals of diverse backgrounds, passionately believe that each person has inherent worth & dignity and the ability to become self-sufficient, and be a strategic thinker with demonstrated skills in growing referral bases, relationship management, and marketing.
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to navigate database applications
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while demonstrating attention-to-detail in reporting, documentation, etc.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced and changing environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain skill curriculum that meets the needs of employer partners
• Provide adequate, consistent, and regularly scheduled instruction to trainees in a variety of settings including facilitated lectures, workshops, small group instruction, and individualized tutoring.
• Provide coaching to trainees surrounding their progress and employment readiness.
• Work alongside the Success Coach to ensure trainees presenting with barriers (behavioral or resource-related) are reality counseled, with clear choices, resources, and support in setting goals
• Complete required documentation tracking goals, progress, and outcomes for trainees.
• Maintain a broad scope of relationships with industry employers, community partners, and Brighton Center staff.
