About The Position

The Food Service Attendant role at Covenant Children's Hospital, within the Dietary/Food & Nutrition Department, is crucial for delivering hospitality and ensuring every meal counts for patients. This full-time position involves various tasks from the kitchen to the patient bedside, supporting the smooth and safe operation of the Food & Nutrition department. Responsibilities include assembling trays for therapeutic diets, maintaining fresh and accurate floor stock, performing dish room duties, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of storerooms, vending machines, and equipment. The attendant is expected to uphold top-tier sanitation standards, communicate effectively with care teams, and provide timely, clean, and delicious support to patients and staff, creating a seamless experience from prep to plate. This role involves patient/customer food service functions related to food purchasing, storage, and preparation, all under direct supervision. This position is onsite and requires the ability to commute to Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.
