We are excited to begin seasonal hiring for our Food Services team at the Village Outlets across Greenfield Village. These operations include several key locations such as the Frozen Custard Stand, Mrs. Fisher’s, Sir Jonathan Bennett’s Sweet Shop, Owl Night Lunch Wagon, and Cotswold Cottage Tea Cart, located throughout the Village campus. As a Food Service Associate, you will support daily food service operations by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service while delivering an outstanding guest experience. These venues support signature events including Halloween Nights, Holiday Nights, and Salute to America, where exceptional guest service is essential. During select events, associates may have the opportunity to wear period-appropriate attire. Serving as an ambassador for The Henry Ford brand, you will communicate menu knowledge effectively, utilize positive sales techniques, and interact professionally with guests and team members while upholding the highest standards of customer service, food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
  • Some high school or equivalent experience may be relevant
  • Weekday, weekend, evening and holiday availability

Responsibilities

  • Serves food in a variety of daily food services operations
  • Performs opening and closing tasks as assigned
  • Handles cash accurately and efficiently
  • Possesses knowledge of menu description and can effectively communicate them with guests
  • Ensures an outstanding guest experience
  • Interacts and communicates with guests and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Possesses knowledge of sales techniques
  • Assumes responsibility for cleanliness of assigned areas in keeping with the Health & Sanitation guidelines
  • Handles and stores all equipment properly and with care
  • Performs other activities as necessary
  • Acts as a team player, providing expertise within the team and with other team members as appropriate
  • Adheres to applicable The Henry Ford and the Food service departmental rules and policies
