About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and caring Food Service Assistant to join our dietary team. This role is vital in helping prepare and serve meals to the residents of Black Mountain Neuro Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment by meeting and exceeding sanitation standards as outlined in the NC Food Code.

Requirements

• Education and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking, and baking procedures.
• Basic knowledge of appropriate methods of cleaning and sanitizing equipment and small wares.
• Ability to maintain high sanitation standards as outlined in the NC Food Code. Ability to follow oral and written instructions; efficiently and accurately complete department records and documentation as required.
• Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time.
