About The Position

Join us in maintaining the highest food safety standards as a part of our commitment to the individuals we serve. The work you do makes a tremendous impact on the patient experience. Positions are Part Time 20hrs/week and Benefits Eligible. Pay Rates start at $17, rate commensurate with experience. Shifts to include a mix of 6:30am-3pm and 4pm-8pm. Weekend and holidays are mandatory. Shift Differential starting at 3pm: $1.50/hr, in addition to the hourly rate. The Food Service Assistant is responsible for preparing and serving patient meals as well as providing friendly, excellent customer service to patients, employees, and visitors in the food service area. Requirements

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate English sufficiently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• One year previous food service experience in a health care environment
• Previous customer service and food service experience

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving patient meals
• Providing friendly, excellent customer service to patients, employees, and visitors in the food service area
• Work with employees across departments
• Assist with catering events
