About The Position

Are you passionate about helping others and creating meaningful moments through great service? Elderwood at North Creek is seeking a FULL TIME Food Service Assistant to support our residents by preparing, serving, and delivering meals with care and attention. What You’ll Do: Prepare and serve meals following dietary guidelines and resident preferences Deliver meals in dining areas according to seating charts and tray tickets Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining space Engage positively with residents and families Attend required trainings and follow all compliance, confidentiality, and safety policies Demonstrate reliable attendance and adherence to dress code/technology policies Support Elderwood’s Mission, Vision, and Values and complete other assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
  • Prior customer service experience
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
  • Physical stamina necessary for constant activity
  • This position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Nice To Haves

  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver meals according to departmental guidelines and dietary requirements.
  • Follow individual resident diet orders, texture modifications, and menu preferences.
  • Perform assigned duties during scheduled shifts in alignment with safety standards and best practices.
  • Serve meals in resident dining areas based on seating charts and tray ticket instructions.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining environment.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Engage with residents and their families to ensure satisfaction with meal service.
  • Use the facility’s electronic timekeeping system to track attendance.
  • Arrive on time and work scheduled shifts consistently and reliably.
  • Comply with facility dress code and wear a name badge at all times.
  • Follow policy on use of electronic devices and company technology.
  • Support and uphold Elderwood’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance, HIPAA, and code of conduct policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
