About The Position

The Food Service Assistant position at Todd County School District involves supporting food preparation and service in a school environment. The assistant will work under the supervision of the Food Service Manager and is responsible for various tasks related to food production and kitchen maintenance.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Experience in large quantity food production and service desired.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for at least eight hours on a hard surface floor.
• Must be able to put hands in water containing bleach or other chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items including cooked cereal, meats, pancakes, and French toast.
• Bake bread and dessert items to enhance meal quality and reduce costs.
• Assist with vegetable and/or entrée preparation.
• Pan meats, fruits, and/or vegetables.
• Serve students and staff breakfast and/or lunch.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning as assigned to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans after meals.
• Clean equipment used for food preparation after use.
• Sweep and mop floors daily after lunch.
• Clean appliances and storage areas as directed by the Manager.
• Clean walls, doors, windows, and window frames as directed by the Manager.
• Wash dining room tables daily after meals.
• Help unload supplies.
