Position Details Status: Casual (8 hours/week) Schedule: Evening shifts, 4:00 PM – 7:30 PM on weekdays and weekends required Location: Wilmington, DE What You’ll Do Prepare and serve meals for patients and cafeteria guests with accuracy and attention to dietary needs Deliver meal trays and nourishments promptly, ensuring excellent customer service Maintain food safety standards, proper storage, and sanitation procedures Operate dishwashing and food service equipment safely and efficiently Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and team members Uphold ChristianaCare’s core values
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service experience preferred (6 months or more)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and infection control
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, reach, and stand for extended periods
- Exposure to infectious materials, cleaning chemicals, and temperature variations
- Must pass a physical exam and be drug-free
