About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a Food Service Assistant at Central Regional Hospital. The primary purpose of this position is to perform sanitation and proper storage of pots, pans, utensils, beverage containers, bowls, etc. This is accomplished by a 3-compartment sink or dish machine. Monitoring of wash and rinse cycle temperatures are recorded three times per day. in addition, heat strips are processed through machine daily to ensure accuracy of gauges. Wares are air dried, checked for cleanliness and then properly stored in designate areas. This position will clean and sanitize all work surfaces before beginning ware washing. This position will remove trash and cardboard on a regular basis as well as sweep and mop office areas.

Requirements

Education and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Knowledge of acceptable food handling, food service, safety, and sanitation standards and practices.
Ability to perform moderately heavy physical work for extended periods of time, including the ability to work in a repetitive motion.
Ability to work as a team member, both at task and organizational level.
