About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital - San Diego is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. The hospital helps patients during vulnerable moments, and every team member is crucial in delivering compassionate, excellent care. This position involves performing a variety of patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous healthcare food service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services
- Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up
- Be timely and efficient when preparing food
- Provide high quality food preparation and service
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work
- Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary
- Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner
