About The Position

Reporting to the Manager R&D, you will lead product innovation from concept through commercialization, creating new formulations and improving existing products to meet customer preferences and enhance quality and margins. You will collaborate across teams, conduct experiments, and deliver insights that shape the future of our food offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in food product design, formulation, ingredient functionality, process design, scale-up, plant testing, and commercialization.
  • Knowledge of food industry quality standards, food safety practices, and FDA regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and influence decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Work in and around cramped or confined spaces.
  • Climb to various heights using stairs or ladders.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments for extended workdays, including loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, and slippery conditions.
  • Use of tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Drive a company or rental vehicle for up to 6 hours as needed.
  • Exposure to food tasting and smells, including all food allergens.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new products from concept phase through successful commercialization.
  • Design and conduct plant trials and manage new product startups.
  • Create and present innovative product prototypes.
  • Drive product cuttings, plant trials, and testing to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Build and manage development schedules aligned with project timelines.
  • Select appropriate testing methods and procedures for accurate results.
  • Prepare technical proposals, reports, and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Work with pilot plant equipment to scale product concepts.
  • Utilize online specification systems for accurate documentation.
  • Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present findings.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to support plant trials and commercialization efforts.
