About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform and verify all sanitation duties and documentation as required by the Master Sanitation Schedule. · Coordinate with the sanitation crews/team members, and assist in designating scheduled line downtime tasks as a priority. · Vast knowledge of plant chemistry and required chemical safety. · Demonstrated knowledge of both wet and dry-cleaning methodologies. · Knowledge of CIP circuit components and ability to perform CIP operations. · Assisting operations in P.E.C. teardowns and scheduled downtime-cleaning events. · Assist with equipment cleaning validations on a scheduled basis. · Maintain sufficient chemical inventory in the storage areas and verify the operation of chemical dispensing equipment. · Working knowledge of food safety and ability to coach others. · Responsible for assisting in all areas in maintaining high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to site GMPs. · Prioritize work on a daily basis by identifying pressing issues through communication, knowing shift production plans, and being aware of the area. · Promote a high-quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude. · Knowledge of PEM, Non-PEM, Environmental Air Monitoring, Water Micro, and IPM programs. · The ability to work with all teams at the site on Sanitation, Pest Control, and housekeeping projects. · Assist in the development of new sanitation operators. · Assist with plant start-up sanitation projects and trials. · Assist in training all new sanitation operators and production employees pertaining to sanitation. · Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Training, Education & Experience: - Team player - Action-oriented - Problem-solving abilities - Strong communication skills - Continuous self-development - Be 18 years of age or older - Have a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education - Strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to plan work on a daily basis, work independently, and be a self-starter and a highly motivated individual Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of work experience within a sanitation department is preferred. Berner Food and Beverage will provide on-the-job training. · Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-12 hours. · Ability to work with and in warm temperatures. · Ability to walk and maintain potential wet surfaces. · May be required to lift no more than 50 lbs. Pay Range: $16.00-18.00 (based on experience); For the PM shift, there is a $1.00 Shift Differential for this position.
