About The Position

The Quality Technician role is comprised of data analysis, observation verification, and investigation to ensure that we are providing our customers with the highest quality products. Critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork will be important skills in this position. Your day-to-day may consist of: Conduct quality control audits, maintain and report data using Microsoft Office, and communicate findings with Production teams. Assist with equipment operation, calibration, and product testing for temperature, moisture, salt, and pH. Support inventory management of held products and participate in finished product cuttings. Ensure compliance with GMP, safety guidelines, and HACCP program, providing guidance and recognition for plant employees. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, perform additional assigned duties, and maintain annual Quality Audit Certification.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree in a science or management discipline preferred.
  • 6+ months of experience working in a manufacturing or quality environment, experience working in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical calculations, basic algebra, and geometry, with an 80% minimum score on QC math test.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven process improvement and recommendations, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Annual Quality Audit and SPC Certifications required; working knowledge of HACCP and QC/GMP procedures.
  • Effective verbal communication with groups and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in the use and maintenance of quality testing equipment (e.g., scales, pH meter, salt/moisture/texture analyzers)
  • Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
  • Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.
  • Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.
  • Pays close attention to detail, prioritizing product quality, safety, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Physically capable of meeting job requirements and consistently brings a positive, team-focused attitude to work.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, technical proficiency, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills while working independently or collaboratively to ensure effective and logical decision-making in diverse situations.
