About The Position
The Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager position is a critical role within a rapidly growing food and beverage manufacturing company located in Bridgeport, CT. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $110,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The role is primarily focused on ensuring that all food safety and quality assurance protocols are adhered to, maintaining compliance with both national and international standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the SQF (Safe Quality Food) program and ensuring that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are enforced throughout the production process. In this position, the manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the quality functions, which includes reviewing standard operating procedures (SOPs), managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations. The role also involves supporting and participating in internal and external audits, reviewing test results, and overseeing inspection activities for products throughout the production cycle. The manager will apply total quality management tools and approaches to enhance analytical and reporting processes, and will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating product inspections and testing.
