JOB OVERVIEW Based in Memphis, TN, our Food Safety Manager will support our facility by leading food safety programs, ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance, and reinforcing a strong food safety culture across a 24/7 operation. Reporting to the Quality & Food Safety Manager, this role plays a critical part in program execution, audit readiness, and team leadership.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in food safety and quality within a manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP certification.
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs and food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, CFIA).
  • Proven auditing, assessment, and compliance experience.
  • People leadership and process management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • SQF Practitioner and/or PCQI certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and certification of HACCP and site food safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with WK Kellogg Co standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Quality, Sanitation, and cross-functional plant teams to identify and mitigate food safety risks.
  • Serve as the site PCQI, overseeing inspections, traceability, testing, vendor programs, and microbial compliance.
  • Lead and support technicians and cross-functional teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Deliver food safety and HACCP training to ensure consistent execution of standard work.
  • Drive continuous improvement and adherence to food safety laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Establish, track, and report key food safety metrics and KPIs.
