About The Position

Wyndham Grand Jupiter is seeking a positive, energetic, and service-driven Food Runner to deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout our hotel. This fast-paced role supports in-room dining and multiple food & beverage outlets by taking guest orders, expediting food from the kitchen, and personally delivering orders with warmth and accuracy. Schedule: 6am-3pm & 3pm-11pm Weekends and Holidays as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of restaurant, or customer service experience preferred (room service or food running experience a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional phone presence.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to navigate the hotel quickly (stairs, elevators, long hallways) while carrying trays.
  • Comfortable working with a POS system and handling cash/credit transactions when needed.
  • Flexible availability – mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly answer room service phones, take guest orders accurately, and enter them into the POS system while offering thoughtful suggestions and upselling when appropriate.
  • Expedite and inspect all food and beverage orders for quality, accuracy, and presentation before leaving the kitchen.
  • Promptly and professionally deliver room service orders to guest rooms and suites, setting up trays or tables as needed and confirming guest satisfaction.
  • Run food and beverages to various hotel outlets (restaurant, pool, lobby lounge, banquets, meetings, etc.) to support service teams.
  • Quickly clear trays and tables from hallways/guest floors once guests are finished and return items to the dish area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock levels of room service areas, expediter stations, trays, linens, condiments, and beverage supplies.
  • Assist servers, bartenders, and banquet staff during peak periods to ensure seamless operations across the hotel.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to special requests with a sense of urgency and care.
