About The Position

WHAT YOU’LL DO - Transports food items from the kitchen to the pool(s) and serves the items ordered to the guests following the proper steps of service as designated by management. - Maintains a clean, organized and safe workspace by following restaurant set-up standards, OSHA safety standards, and Department of Health food handling standards. - Fills out and delivers requisitions of supplies and food items for the expediter. Picks up requisitions from Purchasing and stores products in designated areas. - Labels all products and rotates items to ensure freshness. - Maintains an up to date knowledge of all current menu items and steps necessary to finalize plate presentation prior to service. ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES - Performs general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. - Keeps floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents. - Performs other duties as requested by manager. WHAT YOU BRING - Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with staff. - Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette. - Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware. - Ability to make quick and accurate decisions. - Must possess strong organizational skills. - Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism. - Transport meals that are delivered hot from the food pantry to guest's lounge chair safely.
