About The Position

Position Overview Edina Country Club is hiring Food Runners to support our dining operations during daytime service hours. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being an integral part of delivering a high-quality dining experience. The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering accurate and timely food orders from the kitchen to members and guests across all dining areas. This role works closely with servers and the kitchen team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and presentation standards are consistently met. Food Runners also assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of service areas.

Requirements

  • Previous food runner, busser, or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders quickly and accurately to members and guests.
  • Ensure all orders are complete and match the POS ticket before leaving the kitchen.
  • Assist the expeditor in organizing and assembling orders, including proper garnishes, condiments, and utensils.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Memorize table numbers, seating arrangements, and dining areas.
  • Follow proper tray handling and food delivery standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations before, during, and after shifts.
  • Assist with stocking service areas and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Support servers as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with members, guests, and team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
