About The Position

The Food Preparation Specialist in the Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program will assist in all aspects related to food production for patients enrolled in the outpatient and day treatment program. This includes preparing foods for treatment, monitoring food safety guidelines, and procuring food and supplies as needed. Requirements

  • Experience in food preparation and use of common kitchen appliances
  • Strong organizational and time management skills along with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Uses standardized recipes to prepare food for outpatient and day treatment clients following strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Uses proper techniques and maintains proper temperature when inspecting, handling, preparing, serving, and storing all items.
  • Assists in the purchase and maintenance of supplies necessary for the feeding pantry including bi-weekly grocery shopping for client food.
  • Follows department guidelines, ensuring that all foods in the pantry are current and safe to feed to clients.
  • Assists with food delivery and measurement to therapeutic sessions on the treatment unit.
  • Washes, sanitizes, and stores food preparation equipment in appropriate areas of the pantry.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
