About The Position
The responsibilities of a food packer include prepping and packing food for distribution and sale. As a food packer, the products you handle vary from meat, vegetables, and pre-cooked meals. The tasks associated with this type of position tend to be repetitive. On an assembly line, you assemble containers or packaging, place products into the packaging, seal them securely, and label the boxes with product information and weight. You then stack the products to ensure safe and efficient truck loading. Other duties include cleaning containers, keeping track of inventory, and removing defective items.
