About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 3 to support in the leadership of the child nutrition program at Mount Vernon City School District in Mount Vernon, NY . In this role, you’ll guide daily operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and supportive team leadership. You’ll help deliver welcoming, nutritious meal experiences that reflect the needs of the school community and contribute to a positive, thriving environment for students. This position offers the opportunity to lead with purpose and support a program that directly impacts student well‑being and success. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. Requirements

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience, and the ability to work collaboratively
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
