About The Position

Picture a typical shift in Romeoville: you check in with your Shift Supervisor, gear up, and step onto a production line where timing, teamwork, and food safety all come together. Your mission is straightforward—produce safe, high‑quality products that meet customer expectations and regulatory standards, including USDA and SQF requirements. Location Romeoville Department Production Reporting To Shift Supervisor Position Purpose Carry out assigned tasks as directed by your supervisor while following all Safety, QA, and USDA rules.

  • High School diploma/Equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA)
  • Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, or Distribution exposure
  • Material handling and heavy material movement
  • Batch mixing and weighing raw materials
  • Packaging on a production line
  • General manufacturing environment experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a quality product that aligns with all customer specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with your supervisor as needed.
  • Follow instructions precisely and apply training related to Safety, QA, GMPs, and USDA standards.
  • Keep your work area organized, sanitary, and safe at all times.
  • Jump in to assist teammates and your Supervisor when asked.
  • Match the pace of the line with consistent effort and focus.
  • Practice strong GMP habits, including proper handwashing and adherence to the employee hygiene plan.
  • Follow all USDA guidelines and site procedures.
  • Immediately alert supervision and/or Quality Assurance about any potential food safety or quality concerns.
  • Meet specific customer-driven requirements when applicable.
  • Support and uphold the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing in daily tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or volunteered.
  • Be accountable for producing a quality product that satisfies customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Speak up immediately about any suspected food safety or product quality issue so it can be addressed.
  • Alert a designated manager if you observe any risk or evidence of unsafe or out-of-spec product, equipment, packaging, or raw materials to enable rapid resolution.
