About The Position

The Inventory/ Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of inventory operations, ensuring efficient management, accuracy, and availability to support Kommissary’s high-volume food production. This role is vital to developing scalable inventory systems, maintaining stock integrity, and collaborating across teams to meet operational goals. Drawing on their extensive experience in inventory and warehouse management, they will oversee personnel and streamline operations, ensuring the precise and timely handling of inbound and outbound products. Their leadership will be key to achieving effective and secure warehouse and inventory operations. This role requires commuting to both of our facilities in the Bronx and Long Island City, NY as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of inventory/ warehouse management experience, preferably in food distribution or high-volume operations.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, and inventory management tools.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners required.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including hot and cold environments.
  • Flexibility to work AM, Mid, and PM shifts, including weekends.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT certification to operate DOT regulated vehicles.
  • Client interaction, communication, organization/time management, multi-tasking, detail-oriented, accuracy-driven, and proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management systems for high-volume food production.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment and prevent shortages.
  • Analyze inventory performance and generate actionable insights to improve accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Manage inventory in compact spaces, optimizing storage solutions.
  • Train and lead the inventory team, fostering a culture of organization and accountability.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain alignment on inventory needs.
  • Utilize tools such as RF scanners, Excel, and Google Suite to track, document, and report inventory metrics.
  • Operate pallet jacks or forklifts to manage stock as needed.
  • Support additional projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
