About The Position

Hanley Foundation is a West Palm Beach-based non-profit organization that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support. We are seeking a Food Inventory Specialist to join our growing team at our state-of-the-art substance use/mental health treatment facility. Primary functions include stocking, organizing and the cleaning of all unit kitchens. Remain attentive to patient needs and act as a liaison between Chef and patient to ensure patient satisfaction. The schedule for this position is as follows: Tuesday 6AM - 2:30PM Wednesday 10:30AM-7PM Thursday 10:30AM-7PM Friday 6AM-2:30PM Saturday 10:30-7PM

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary degree or at least two (2) years working experience in a similar position.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • If in recovery, one (1) year continuous sobriety is required.
  • Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
  • Hold a valid Safe Serv staff handler certificate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to stay focused and productive in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • A varied knowledge of different cuisines and basic nutrition.
  • A basic computer knowledge.
  • A commitment to serve quality food with quality service.
  • Ability to problem solve, be organized and self-motivated.
  • Offer polite friendly customer service.
  • Must be able to use basic tools pertaining to position.
  • Must be flexible with schedule to provide emergency and overtime service at times during unscheduled work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes knowledge of the ingredients of items served.
  • Maintains sufficient food levels in each unit according to daily census.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including but not limited to refrigerators, storage areas, and counter tops of all units.
  • Correctly stores and rotates food items when delivered to kitchen.
  • Has an understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment on the units.
  • Reports all repair needs to supervisor.
  • Handle foods in a manner that is consistent with Safe Serv and local authority guidelines.
  • Comply with the department’s dress code.
  • Any other job-related task as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Uphold all Hanley Foundation Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain client/potential client confidentiality in accordance with Hanley Policy.
