About The Position

Spectrum for Living is a New Jersey not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping adults with developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential. We provide high-quality housing and clinical services in state-of-the-art facilities and in the homes of families caring for a loved one with disabilities. We are currently seeking a Food Handler to join our team at the Rockleigh Supervised Apartments. In this role, you will support the nutritional needs of our residents through the preparation, service, and safe handling of food. This includes reviewing individualized menu requirements developed by the dietitian, preparing meals, bagged lunches, snacks, and nutritional supplements, ordering and purchasing food and necessary supplies, handling and storing food in compliance with safety guidelines, and maintaining kitchen equipment and cleanliness of food preparation and storage areas in accordance with state and local health regulations. Requirements

• A valid (non-probationary) New Jersey or New York driver’s license
• A high school diploma or GED
• Previous experience with food service preparation, cooking, and serving meals
• Knowledge in making food purchases according to dietary needs.
