Description Job Description Performs the daily terminal cleaning and sanitation of the department. Job Responsibility 1.Performs all cleaning functions following established procedures in a timely fashion. 2.Maintains tools and equipment in good condition, uses supplies economically 3.Uses proper cleaning supplies for each job, using appropriate personal protective equipment. 4.Collects garbage, cleans and re-lines trash receptacles with plastic liners. 5.Transports garbage to designated area and disposes of waste. 6.Requires minimal instruction on day- to- day work; receives instruction on new assignments 7.Adheres to state and county regulations for proper disposal of infectious and hazardous waste. 8.Maintains department’s cleaning and sanitation quality control records. 9.Stores and maintains related tools, equipment, and chemicals in department. 10.Sweeps mops and maintains departmental floors including the cafeteria floor. 11.Performs a variety of technical service/support duties that may require practical or specialized knowledge. 12.Makes routine and few non-routine decisions with some latitude, but still subject to approval. 13.Decisions may have minimal impact on a task or work process with a lesser impact on the overall department or facility. 14.Performs related duties as required.
