About The Position

Food and Beverage Supervisor Courtyard by Marriott, Sarasota University Park/Lakewood Ranch-8305 Tourist Center Drive, Sarasota. The main role of the Food & Beverage Supervisor is to be a leader of the team onsite while also working along side the staff. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is required.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary.
  • Must have valid drivers license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure Excellence in service for all guests
  • Responsible for preparation and execution of morning and/or evening food service including cooking, food prep, cleaning, and any other required task requested by management.
  • Establishing and ensuring quality standards are attained and maintained
  • Managing inventories of: cost of goods sold, kitchen equipment, linens, etc.
  • Responding and resolving all guest complaints with regard to food and beverage timely and appropriately.
  • Inspect kitchen and dining areas for cleanliness and preventative maintenance upkeep on a daily basis.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include assisting in interviewing, hiring, training employees, scheduling, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
