About The Position

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Part Time Food and Beverage Supervisor at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts 01608. This is a part time, event related position. POSITION SUMMARY: This position primarily oversees all Suite/Food and Beverage operations which include making sure all suites are ready to be used. Position oversees setting up portable bars, breaking down portable bars, and assisting with monthly beverage inventory, assisting concession/warehouse needs, and assisting Banquet functions when there are limited Suite duties. This position also oversees all suite attendants, bartenders and barbacks in the absence of the Food and Beverage Outlets Manager. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Training of all suite attendants/barbacks Overall Assistance helping all Food and Beverage areas including concessions and banquets. Communicating with suite customers to ensure all needs have been met. Prepare tasks for function rooms/arena bar settings and side work lists Maintaining all suite/bar equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance Involved in all food and beverage monthly reporting and inventory as assigned. Maintain a Health Department score of 90 or higher Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must Position is very hands on with excessive interaction with clients during events Recordkeeping (Attendance, Event Reports, Staff Evaluations) Other duties deemed necessary by the Director of Food & Beverage. Position reports directly to the Concessions Manager, but also is a direct report Banquet Mgr, Executive Chef, and Director of Food and Beverage based on the event.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least one year experience in a bar/restaurant establishment
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • ServSafe Allergen certificate, and Alcohol Training certificate.
  • This position requires stooping and lifting.
  • This position also requires pushing, pulling and lifting of up to 50lbs on a consistent basis.
